Food Security

Did you know that the rate of brain growth is faster in the first three years than at any other stage in life? Nutrition plays a crucial role in this development. That’s why food security is such an important indicator of good health.

But what exactly is food security?

The United States Department of Agriculture defines food security as access to enough food by all people, at all times for an active, healthy lifestyle. Those who have struggled with low or very low food security have experienced the physical sensation of hunger.
